With our planet now in an environmental crisis, it is imperative that companies take responsibility for their carbon footprint. At the end of 2020 we at Direct Peak pledged to be carbon-negative by the end of 2021. To this end, we have entered into a partnership with Tree-Nation (https://tree-nation.com/). Tree-Nation is a reforestation service, allowing citizens and companies to plant trees all over the world. Since its inception in 2006, over 200,000 users and 4000 companies have planted 7 million trees using the platform.
How do Direct Peak Accountants use this service to be carbon-negative?
Through Tree-Nation we plant two trees per month per employee to offset their carbon use within the office. We also plant a tree every time a new customer signs up with us.
