Taking on a new accountancy system can be daunting, so to make sure you can get to grips with the new software, here at Direct Peak we provide Xero training for total beginners through to experienced payroll administrators, bookkeepers and accountants moving to cloud services. Our Xero training courses are held either at our offices in Market Deeping near Peterborough or at your place of business.

All of the Direct Peak team are Xero Certified Advisors and we only use Xero in-house, so we are using the software every single day. Each attendee who completes the Xero training will earn a free e-certificate upon successful completion.

We offer three levels of Xero Training

Basic Xero Training

For business owners managing Xero yourselves or bookkeepers who are new to Xero software, this course is for you. Our course covers all the major aspects on the cloud accounting software that you need to get up and running and manage your accounts on a daily basis.

Firstly, we will help you set up your organisation on the Xero software, including inputting financial settings and invoice settings. We will make sure you are familiar with the overview dashboard, how to add new contacts and raise quotes, sales invoices and payment services.

Xero Payroll Course

Aimed at experienced payroll administrators that are new to Xero or business owners that have prior experience of payroll software. Our Xero payroll course will not teach you how payroll works, but rather go through the entire payroll process on the Xero platform. Our training includes showing you payroll setup on xero, adding different pay runs and changing the default holiday settings. We also go over how to connect workplace pensions to xero and show you how to change and update these settings.

Our advanced Xero training courses are aimed at Bookkeepers and accountants that have a basic understanding of Xero, but need to know how to process more technical transactions. Business owners that have completed the basic training (or already have a good understanding of Xero) and are looking to utilise more of Xero’s features will also benefit from this course.

Advanced training is bespoke and will be tailored to what you need, some examples of advanced training:

  • How to use advanced features such as repeating journals, find & recode, setup the fixed asset register, etc
  • How to tailor reports within Xero to give you the information needed
